Capacete<\/em> <\/strong>es un espacio de arte y residencia artística en Río de Janeiro, Brasil, que fue invitada en 2017 a formar parte del programa público de Documenta 14<\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Durante 9 meses un grupo de 12 artistas, curadorxs, escritorxs y pensadorxs habitamos en la ciudad de Atenas con la idea de vivir la ciudad, aprender griego, conectar con agentes locales y construir un programa público. A lo largo de nuestra estancia se realizaron diversas actividades como las “Noches de Neratzinha” donde tomamos el Asylum<\/em>, un bar de la localidad donde ofrecimos fiestas, bebida y música. También realizamos encuentros y talleres internos entre lxs participantes donde analizamos lecturas, discutimos obras y proyectos propios y de otrxs. Compartimos los desayunos y las caminatas por la ciudad siempre encontrando en la colectividad múltiples complejidades.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Al final logramos desarrollar un programa público llamado Dysfunctional Organ<\/strong><\/em> una serie de encuentros para compartir algunas de nuestras ideas y dudas junto a invitadxs locales e internacionales y logramos publicar «Kalimera compañera»<\/em> un fanzine colectivo y «<\/span>Capacete Experiencing Connection Issues» <\/span><\/em>una publicación que se editó en español e inglés de forma digital y física.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Capacete<\/em><\/strong> is a project space and art residency in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2017 the project was invited to be part of Documenta 14’s<\/strong> public program<\/em>. <\/span><\/p>\n

During nine months a group of 12 artists, curators, writers and critics resided in Athens with the incentive to experience the city, learn Greek, connect with locals, and build a public program. During our stay, we performed different activities like “Neratzinha Nights” where we used Asylum<\/em> (a local bar) to throw parties, have drinks and DJ music. Also, we held public and private “encounters” and closed workshops for participants where we discussed lectures from Documenta 14’s program and held open crits to talk about our work. <\/span>We shared meals and went on excursions throughout the city, always encouraging each other, even as people from all walks of life. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the end, we developed a public program named Dysfunctional Organ<\/strong><\/em>, a series of “encounters” for sharing ideas and questions with local and international guests. We published “Kalimera Compañera”<\/em>, a collaborative fanzine and “Experiencing Connection Issues”<\/em>,<\/span> a publication edited in English and Spanish that was published online and in print. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
